Ivo Lill (1953-2019) was one of the best-known and most unique glass artists in Estonia. Lill skillfully intertwined glass optics and light-shadow games in his work. His glass sculptures are multi-layered – their inner world is revealed after a long process of work, that involves glass cutting, gluing and then large-scale grinding up to the final finish. He also often used sandblasting. During his more than thirty creative years Lill received numerous awards and recognitions worldwide.
