The Metamorphosis series is an investigation of free-blown forms. The series of cocoons resemble fluidity, transformation, and the ability to let go of control, which I think are essential skills for growing and maturing. In the process, the external forces of heat and gravity create the tangled organic structures inside the glass, and I perform a minimum necessary intervention. Through this practice, I learn to let go and go along with the change.
